Real Stories, Real Experiences
"Joe is a Pro! We had an early morning drive into Yellowstone, and Joe went to work right away, setting up cameras, and preparing us for what we were about to see. We watched wolves for about an hour, before moving on to the next location.
Joe knew the story behind every wolf, he knew who every pup belonged to, etc. His knowledge was amazing! We went on to numerous sites throughout the day. As we drove through the park, Joe pointed out things that we would never have seen on our own, or ever thought to look for. We saw all kinds of wildlife, including a Grizzly Bear! He pulled over a few times, so we could get out, and get the full experience. I can't imagine a better person to be a guide in Yellowstone National Park."

"As a Texan, being able to experience the beauty of Yellowstone National Park has been so impactful. I truly believe that Joe's expertise on all things wolves, bears, goats, etc has been the highlight of our trips to the park. We first visited the park guided by Joe along with the family, and were so impressed that when we celebrated out 30th wedding anniversary, we brought friends and made it a highlight to have Joe tour us again.
It is very obvious that he not only loves what he is doing, but also is respected and admired by his peers. Whenever we stepped out of a vehicle the folks that knew him were so happy to see him and hear what he had to share with them.
We are planning another trip this May and have already sought out Joe's services. We hope that Joe is highly considered for this opportunity."

"Joey ushered my wife and I into Yellowstone on a clear brisk predawn morning. We stopped on the shoulder of bend of the road, exited the vehicle, and stared into the darkness, listening. He was there the day before and we were near a recent wolf kill. We were listening for howling. Moments before sunrise we heard distant cries, it was both haunting and elusive. This beckoned Joey and using his intimate knowledge of the park he triangulated where they were, where they might be heading and where we should be. A short drive put us overlooking a large expanse of park. Joey trained a couple high-powered scopes to a ridge line almost a mile away and we waited. Just as the sun blanketed our vista, a group of elk crested the hill, running and formed a defensive huddle. Joey remarked that “elk do not run for fun” and moments later a pair of wolves appeared and began testing the elk. Alas the elk outnumbered the wolves and soon were on to the next hunt. Throughout the day Joey spotted not only several wolf packs, but other elusive wild animals like grizzly bears, owls, otters, and foxes. His eye for animals in the park can’t be understated: we would be staring into a seemingly endless expanse and he would spot a speck of a wolf in the distance, point a scope, and we would see a wolf! Many times tourists in the parks would ask us what we looking at? Joey would explain to them what it was and were it was, but to the untrained eye all you see a lot of wilderness. You simply cannot get this experience without an experienced guide like Joey. I have taken his tour twice now both with unforgettable results!"

"Joe is a thoughtful man who understands the value of wildlife and that they need extensive wild land, some of which is in Yellowstone Park. His enthusiasm for Yellowstone is contagious. I knew him before he was an up and coming bank employee and quit that to show others the beauty and power of our Park. He does things well with humor and passion."
